Joe Giudice has been housed at the  Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in New Jersey since he began serving time but that’s about to change.

Teresa Giudice’s husband was sentenced to 41 months in prison for fraud related to a bankruptcy that the Giudice’s filed. Up until now, Joe Giudice stayed housed at FCI Fort Dix, which is a low-security prison in New Jersey.

Now it looks like family visits might get a bit harder to pull off because the RHONJ husband is being moved to another facility and it’s not in the same state.

It turns out that Joe Giudice’s move to Pennsylvania comes by his own request. Being housed at the facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania facility will allow him to take part in a drug and alcohol treatment program needed in order to reduce some of his sentence.

Based on the report from The BlastJoe still might not get an early release and may still be prevented from entering the program that would aid him in that endeavor. However, once he does get moved to Allenwood, he will be granted a hearing to figure all of that out.

Previously, Joe has had some issues with his prison stay. Initially, he was denied entrance into the program because of his immigration status.

There are still questions about whether the RHONJ husband will even be allowed to stay in the US after he is released from prison or if he’ll be deported. It’s well known that Joe Giudice was born in Italy and it looks like he may not have locked down American citizenship prior to breaking the law.

So far, Joe Giudice hasn’t been transferred from Fort Dix to Allenwood, Pennsylvania yet and there’s no exact date as to when that would happen. All that has been reported is that the RHONJ star will be moved “soon” and once he is, then Giudice can get the ball rolling as far as working out issues with his immigration status and getting enrolled in the programs that he needs.
