RHOA star NeNe Leakes messed up pretty bad on stage in Oakland but she also owned it and apologized —  so what now?

NeNe Leakes has one heck of a mouth on her. That’s why she’s so wildly popular among RHOA fans. It’s also why she’s managed to land herself in some seriously hot water.

On Saturday night, NeNe was performing on stage in Oakland, California when a woman in the audience started heckling her. Now, it’s not unusual for things like this to happen at comedy events. It’s also not unusual for the person on stage to take that opportunity to make the heckler feel like absolute trash.

There are ways to do this and there are ways not to do this. NeNe Leakes demonstrated the absolute worst way to deal with a heckler or just generally anyone that gets under your skin. She said into the microphone that she hoped that woman’s Uber driver raped her on the way home. Ouch!

So NENE LEAKES comes to Oakland at the Paramount, gets BOO'd then tells woman in crowd "she hopes the Uber driver that picks her up RAPES her" WOW. This is a prime example as to why EVERYBODY is NOT a comedian. Um @theshaderoom @kyle.anfernee @theclosetratchet yal gon post this or nah? 💁🏾#neneleakes

Almost immediately, men and women reacted to NeNe’s comments with disgust. It’s one thing to read someone for filth, it’s totally different to hope they get raped. Ask a rape survivor, just uttering something of that nature is beyond reprehensible.

However, NeNe Leakes apologized quickly. She knew she went too far and she owned it. Is that enough? You can read exactly what NeNe (or likely her publicist) had to say after the comedy show drama. here:

Many RHOA fans have already accepted her apology and are ready to move on. Others have not been so quick to forget NeNe’s venom tongue and think that this latest rant was just too much. NeNe has been criticized, like many other celebrities, for speaking without thinking and then saying sorry in hopes that everyone will just get over it.

There are even reports that this latest outburst may be the last straw for Bravo. According to a Radar Online report, NeNe Leakes is in deep water and that those higher ups at Bravo are trying to figure out if she should stay or go.

Now, shady source aside, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched for NeNe Leakes’ comments to at least cause a few meetings and a lot of concern. Many RHOA fans have already turned their backs on NeNe and probably won’t give her another chance.

If NeNe isn’t removed from RHOA immediately, and in all honesty, she probably won’t be, it will be telling if fans give up on the most popular star of that Bravo show or if NeNe remains popular among Real Housewives of Atlanta fans.

Where do you stand on NeNe Leakes? Should she stay or should RHOA give her the boot?
