NeNe Leakes is not worried about Jennifer Lawrence or her RHOA job

NeNe Leakes knows she’s the queen of Real Housewives of Atlanta no matter what Jennifer Lawrence says. 

Jennifer Lawrence has been making her rounds as she promotes her new horror flick Mother!  During a stop on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, JLaw started talking about the Real Housewives franchise and we already know that she’s a huge fan.

It was during that appearance that Jennifer made a few claims about her bond with Andy Cohen that may have rubbed NeNe Leakes the wrong way. The star of RHOA quickly made sure that everyone knows who is the boss on that series and it clearly isn’t JLaw.

“I am a, I guess, kind of a producer of all of the Real Housewives. Andy Cohen and I, I would call us colleagues. I get really passionate, and I give him a lot of advice,” Jennifer claimed during her Tonight Show appearance.

Jimmy Falloon joked during his response that he did the same thing for Cohen, prompting Jennifer’s response, ”Really? But do you text him?”

“Do you make a difference on the show like me?” Jennifer teased. “One of the star’s fate is kind of in my hands, so, not to brag.”

Now there has been some speculation over whether Jennifer Lawrence was joking or if she’s serious.She really is close friends with Andy and it wouldn’t be far-fetched to think that the two may have conversations about who to keep and who to fire.

TMZ even caught up with Andy Cohen and asked him about whether Jennifer Lawrence is really holding that much Real Housewives power.

“Self-appointed is a good title. She’s an enthusiast….” Andy said. “I love her input is the truth. I do ask for her opinion about things and she gives it to me. And I like it. I like to hear what her opinions are.”

“So would you say she’s obsessed with the show?” Andy is asked.

“I would, I definitely would,” Andy replied.

It turns out that even Andy Cohen admitted that Jennifer Lawrence tells him “who she likes and who she doesn’t like” on the Real Housewives shows. While he may have been joking about Jennifer calling the shots about who gets hired and who gets fired, it’s clear that Cohen clearly values his friend’s opinion.

NeNe Leakes is not impressed

It’s also worth noting that while Jennifer claims to love all the Real Housewives shows, she also recently admitted that RHONY is her favorite. NeNe Leakes and RHOA may not even be on her radar.

That didn’t stop NeNe Leakes from having some thoughts. And sharing them.

When asked about Jennifer Lawrence and her close bond with Andy Cohen, NeNe Leakes said, “I didn’t know that Jennifer was a producer.”

It’s pretty clear that NeNe wasn’t impressed with Jennifer’s claims that she may be able to get a housewife fired. She’s also not worried at all about any pull that the Mother! star might have with Andy. There was even a bit of shade thrown because NeNe acted like she didn’t even know that JLaw was a huge Real Housewives fan.

That doesn’t mean that NeNe Leakes won’t work with Jennifer Lawrence in the future. When asked if she’d do a project with Jennifer, NeNe said, “I’m down with anybody who wants to work.”
