Should Bravo bring Phaedra Parks back to RHOA?

As Real Housewives of Atlanta continues to film Season 10, the debate rages on over the fate of Phaedra Parks.

Are you team Phaedra Parks or team everyone else? That’s how the RHOA fanbase seems to be split these days.

A new report from The Jasmine Brand claims that Phaedra wants her peach back. While it’s hard to imagine Phaedra breaking a sweat over anything, her reality TV spot did provide a comfortable $1.3 million paycheck for Season 9.

It would be hard to give up that kind of money for simply allowing a camera to follow her around as she lives her life. But was it as simple as that?

When asked point blank about a possible return for Phaedra Parks, he shrugged and said no one wanted to film with her.  It’s pretty understandable that many of the RHOA women might pass on camera time with the lawyer turned reality TV star turned funeral director.

She spent all of Season 9 spreading false rumors about Kandi Burruss and got busted at the end. Phaedra also sabotaged her relationship with Porsha when she told her that the drug and rape rumor came from Kandi’s mouth.

It was only during the Season 9 RHOA reunion that Phaedra admitted that she had actually heard the rumor from someone else. There has been plenty of speculation about where the rumor came from and even Phaedra said that she was just passing on info that she got from production.

In any case, it seems that Bravo is content to let Phaedra Parks take the fall for the Season 9 drama.As far as Season 10 goes, there have been rumblings that Phaedra might make a cameo in order to apologize to Porsha Williams for what she did. Beyond that, it doesn’t look like there’s even interest in bringing her back unless you ask her fans.

There could (and probably is) a whole other reason for Bravo’s snub of Phaedra Parks going into Season 10. As we saw after she divorced Apollo Nida, or at least when she had claimed that she divorced him the first time, Phaedra has been very reluctant to open up about her personal life.

Relationships and the drama that comes with them is a huge ratings booster for RHOA and shows like it. Housewives that refuse to allow cameras in to certain parts of their life, specifically the romance part, don’t tend to stick around long.

It was evident that Phaedra was holding back during Season 9 when she didn’t show up to Kandi’s Old Lady Gang grand opening to confront Apollo Nida’s new fiance. It seemed like the perfect time for some real Phaedra drama with a Sherien Almufti face to face but that never happened.

Even if Phaedra Parks was allowed to return for Season 10, what would her storyline be?

Real Housewives of Atlanta fans have already seen Kandi confront Phaedra about the drug and rape rumor. We all remember “The lies! The lies! The lies!”

We may get to see Phaedra apologize to Porsha in Season 10. That would be great and based on the rumor mill, it sounds like it may happen. But then what? They can’t just go back to being Frick and Frack.

Even NeNe Leakes said that she wasn’t surprised by what Phaedra Parks did on Season 9 of RHOA. She said that Phaedra did the same thing to her previously and that this time around, Phaedra “just got caught.”

Can there be a whole storyline about how no other cast members like her?

It’s pretty certain that when Real Housewives of Atlanta returns for Season 10, there will be a lot of drama and probably a few surprises too. One of those surprises might be the return of Phaedra Parks, even if it is brief. And who knows, there might be a peach for her in the future. Many housewives have left the Bravo franchise only to return years later.
