Extra Credit: Kandi Burruss turns Old Lady Gang around after shocking C grade from health inspector

Kandi Burruss responded after Old Lady Gang restaurant’s C grade was changed, saying, ‘I’m sure those people who were googling had to see the A but they failed to mention it.’

Jaws dropped recently when it was revealed that Kandi Burruss’ Old Lady Gang restaurant had received a C grade from a health inspection in August. A matter of public record, the shocking report started making the rounds, slamming Kandi for the supposed cleanliness of her restaurant.

It turns out that there was more to the story. As BET reported, the first health inspection occurred on August 24. Old Lady Gang reportedly received the C grade because of a few issues including issues with the cleanliness of food handling and surfaces.

“Personal cleanliness” was also cited as an issue at the Atlanta eatery. There were also concerns about the holding temperatures for foods.

All of that turned around just four days later. What many reports failed to mention or update is that another health inspection was done on August 28. During that visit, Old Lady Gang received an A grade and now all is well with the restaurant again.

“We did receive a C because of minor things like we ran out of paper towels by the sink, or someone was missing a hair net… we quickly corrected those things & now have an A,” Kandi said of the recent reports. “I’m sure those people who were googling had to see the A but they failed to mention it.”

Kandi wasn’t done defending her restaurant and herself against all the hate.

"“I just don’t understand why people don’t want my family and I to be great. We love our customers and someone from my family is always there to greet people and give hugs.”"

It’s obvious that Kandi Burruss took the health inspection grade seriously. She and her family managed to fix all of the errors found during the first visit and get an A grade when the health inspector returned just four days later.
