Ramona Singer comforts Jill Zarin as Bobby remains hospitalized

Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin put their feuds in the past as Jill cares for her ailing husband, Bobby.

Real Housewives of New York fans may be surprised to learn Ramona and Jill have renewed their friendship. Putting their feuds in the past couldn’t come at a better time for Jill. Her husband, Bobby Zarin, was recently admitted to the hospital after his battle with cancer took a turn for the worse.

Once Ramona found out that Bobby was admitted to the hospital, she sent a text to Jill sending her best wishes for his recovery. Then she went one step further and went to the hospital to check on Bobby and spend time with Jill. It  didn’t take any time at all for the two ladies to forget about the past and they promise to “have each others back” from her on out.

‘Tragedy brings people closer’

Ramona tells People that her “heart dropped” when she found out Bobby was hospitalized. Although she and Jill didn’t have a good relationship over the past few years, she realized the past didn’t matter anymore.

Bobby “was in great spirits and had a great sense of humor” when she visited the hospital. She went on to say Jill and Bobby are “taking it day by day.”

And, as we all know, sometimes humor is the best medicine. And having a close friend by your side during a difficult time is a big plus, too.

Although she never predicted it would happen, Jill is happy her friendship with Ramona is back on track. She tells People they are “really close again.”

“Ramona came to the hospital with food and in sweats,” Jill said. “We sat and talked and talked. She was there for me. Everything in the past just melted away. None of what happened in the past mattered anymore.”

And Ramona feels the same, stating sometimes “tragedy brings people closer.” And she os happy to be there for Jill. “We always have each other’s backs.”

"“Jill and I had a 45 minute talk … [we] both let our walls down and it was woman to woman, friend to friend. It was a wonderful chat and we came away from it in a really good, bonding manner. Sometimes, unfortunately, tragedy brings people closer.”"

How is Bobby doing?

RHONY alum Jill Zarin has been by her husband’s side since he was admitted to the hospital. However, she did step away for part of the day on Saturday.

Her absence was for a good cause. She was at her 5th Annual Luxury Luncheon raising  money for the International Thyroid Oncology Group, something Bobby wouldn’t let her cancel.

As for Bobby Zarin’s condition, Jill said they are taking things “one hour at a time.” She says he had “good day” on Friday.
