Andy Cohen is ready for the ‘Real Housewives of the White House’ reunion

The Watch What Happens Live host tweeted another crushingly accurate White House / Real Housewives comparison.

The Real Housewives world generally keeps things pretty politically agnostic, save the occasional election party and or unaddressed connection to a certain struggling president, but every once and awhile, the team at Bravo can’t help themselves.

Specifically, host Andy Cohen can’t help himself.

And so it was this afternoon, when the Real Housewives patriarch tweeted this gem out after the announcement of another White House dismissal, that of Anthony Scaramucci:

And if for one moment you doubt the parallels, well, a dedicated fan paired the cabinet with their RH counterparts back in May and the matches are hard to deny.

This isn’t the first time Cohen has remarked on the similarities between the current presidential administration and the dishy, dramatic and often absurd suite of shows he oversees. Visiting the Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote his book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, Cohen reflected on Trump’s “Real Housewives tendencies” and the perfect tagline Trump basically gave himself.

Meanwhile, on Andy’s own show, Watch What Happens Live, John Oliver gave Ivanka Trump a tagline of her own, something very soft, very chilling: “Everything’s going to be fine.”

And really, even before that Andy was riffing on Trump’s behavior as it relates to that of his screen-time-loving stars.

While it’s very well-known that Andy leans liberals, the political inclinations of the Housewives themselves are often less overt and certainly less unified. The women of RHONY have a unique relationship to Trump, being as it is that many of them ran in the same New York society circles before he shipped out to Washington. Sonja Morgan was even an advisor for Trump’s campaign. On the other hand, Carole Radziwill, who has long been political and has family ties through marriage to the Kennedys, was vocally and notably a Hillary Clinton supporter. Her election angst was such that it became a recurring plot point throughout the last season.

The political affiliations of the casts of the other shows are a little more shady though you can perhaps read into some since-deleted tweets, also from Cohen. Per the host, most of the Real Housewives of New Jersey wives along with the RHOC ladies, probably leaned Trump, whereas RHOA, Beverly Hills and most of RHONY likely supported Hillary.

While the wives may continue to keep mum, we’re likely to see more snark from Cohen — especially as the administration shows no signs of tamping down the Real Housewives-esque hijinks.
