Totally normal tequila day ends in stabbing on RHONY

After drinking tequila all day, Dorinda ends up stabbing herself on the RHONY Mexico trip.

Do you ever think about how the RHONY wives manage to record confessionals with a straight face when commenting on their totally hammered behavior? Well, in this case, somehow, Bethenny Frankel and Dorinda Medley both managed to provide serious commentary while their previously-recorded selves slurred away at dinner.

But let’s back up. Wednesday night, Real Housewives of New York City showed the ladies on their annual trip — technically a work trip, as Bethenny points out — in Mexico. We knew it was going to be a “shitshow” going in and it has not disappointed. After a day in Tequila and full of tequila, it’s dinner time.

Bethenny arrives in the dining room pressed that no one is there. Apparently, she wanted to take a bath but she was rushed to dinner instead. So she’s bothered no one else has arrived. Dorinda tells her, barely distinguishably, that she’s on vacation time. (Dorinda is on vacation everything.)

Then rather suddenly, Dorinda grabs her knife as she talks to Bethenny (and Tinsley Mortimer, who is there too). Then she stabs the table. (Tinsley calls it “the gangster shit we were looking for all day today.”) But then the women realize that Dorinda stabbed herself as well and there’s blood and it’s all less fun.

Luckily, she’s fine. It’s not a big deal, just another borderline slapstick mishap on the Mexico trip.

The comedy kicker on the whole scene — truly, shout out the editors — is Carole Radziwill walking into the dining room after the women have left to treat Dorinda’s hand.  She looks around and asks, where the hell is everyone?
