Kenya Moore just announced the tragic loss of her grandmother.
RHOA star, Kenya Moore just lost her grandmother, the woman who helped raise her since age three. Kenya Moore announced the sad news via an Instagram account on Monday alongside a tender photo gallery of herself and her grandmother together.
“Today I lost the only woman in the world who has ever loved me unconditionally,” read Kenya’s Instagram post. “My grandmother who raised me from 3 days old passed away.”
Kenya went on to thank “Jehova” for her grandmother, who she likened to an angel, because she taught her “compassion, strength, kindness, selflessness, forgiveness, family, education, brains over beauty, inner beauty, strength, respect for your elders,” and being true to herself.
Kenya’s grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s, a degenerative disease that destroys brain cells and usually, causes memory loss in those afflicted.
In the same post, Kenya Moore mentioned that her Grandmother didn’t recognize her at first, during their last meeting when she introduced her to her new husband, Marc Daly. However, Kenya’s grandmother “lit up” when she came too and gave her approval of the marriage.
“Thank you Jehovah for allowing my last moment with her last month to be the last and for her to have met my loving husband,” Moore said. “I truly believe she waited until she knew that I finally found someone to love and cherish me the way she did. She could not rest until she knew I would be taken care of by someone who deserved me.”
