Shannon Beador has a message for social media trolls ahead of ‘RHOC’ premiere

Hours before the ‘RHOC’ season 12 premiere, Shannon Beador took to social media to address the rumors circulating about her weight gain.

Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador is setting the record straight about her recent struggles with her weight. On Monday, she made it clear that she’s going to block anyone who writes “cruel or derogatory” comments about her on social media.

Shannon will talk about her weight gain and how it has affected her during Monday night’s premiere. But hours before show time, she posted a beautiful photo of herself on Instagram (below) and a message to both her fans and detractors.

The struggle is real — we get it

In her Instagram post (below), Shannon admits has gained “about 40 pounds.” She goes on to confirm that she did not have “plastic surgery or fillers.” Shannon calls the process of “gaining weight and trying to take it off” is something most women struggle with.

High five on that one, Shannon.

The rumors about why she gained weight will soon come to an end. Beador promises that it “will be addressed this season” and there are “multiple factors” that contributed to what she calls “plain and simple weight gain.”

What weight gain? Shannon looks stunning.

During tonight’s Real Housewives of Orange County season 12 premiere, Shannon admits she’s “embarrassed about her body” and gaining weight has affected how she feels about herself.

Whether she’s your favorite or least favorite RHOC star, leaving hateful messages on her social media posts has a major “ick” factor. Yes, she chooses to be in the spotlight, but bashing women for their appearance is never a good thing.

The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
