Would you spend $5,000 to have dinner with Dorinda, because you can if you want

If you have some loose change sitting around, pool it together with your friends and you can all have dinner with Dorinda — for $5,000.

Have you ever been sitting around on a summer day, wondering what the worst way to burn your stack of $5,000 is? If that’s you, buckle up because we have you covered.

In true Dorinda fashion, there is an offer circulating the Housewives universe in which you can have dinner with the Real Housewives of New York star and attend a taping of Watch What Happens Live! afterwords.

The catch is that all of this will cost you more than it would to take a Sandals vacation with your loved one. If you have $5,000 just sitting around and feel absolutely compelled to do the next best thing to lighting it on fire, scroll down and call up your three besties.

As was pointed out in the thread about just how astronomically stupid this is, the last bullet point is a bit troubling. Only $500 of the net profits will be going to charity, which seems a little low.

There’s also a ‘photo opportunity’, which implies that there is no guarantee of said photo ever happening despite the fact that $5,000 has been dropped to make this weird dinner date fantasy a reality.

You’re dumb if you spend the money to make this dinner date happen, unless you have crazy disposable income. In that case, more power to you (?) and enjoy the evening. For the rest of us, we have some questions that need answering before we tell one of our kids they’re not going to college because of this:

  • Is the photo guaranteed?
  • Can it be autographed and framed as part of an inclusion of the price?
  • Why is it only 10 percent of the proceeds going to charity?
  • Will we be featured, if only briefly, on the show thus outing us as the ones who spent the money?
  • Perhaps most importantly, is the price of the dinner included in the price of the ticket?

Until we get these answers, there’s no point in spending the money. Not that there’s a real good reason to do that anyways.
