Gymnast Aly Raisman stuns for swimsuit volleyball photo

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman dropped a massive swimsuit surprise ahead of the weekend – nobody was expecting the 26-year-old to post her old beach volleyball snap. The 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics face, followed by 2.1 million on Instagram, updated with a surprise throwback on Monday, and it was backless swimsuit action as she shared a fun and sporty shot right on beach sands.

Aly, who has been making headlines for revisiting the Larry Nassar sex abuse scandal alongside continuing to share her pandemic self-care, took a break from the 2021 stuff, with the photo taking fans back a bit.

Nichols and other U.S. Gymnasts gave testimony on the abuse they experienced at the hand of Larry Nassar, the former US women’s national gymnastics team doctor, and the FBI’s lack of urgency when handling their cases. Aly Raisman Stuns In Beachy Swimsuit Snap

See the photo below. Aly, who quickly caught a comment from fellow gymnast McKayla Maroney, posted while plonked on fine sands and on her front. Backed by a beach volley net, stone structures and random bystanders, the Silk Milk partner sent out her Gold Medal body while in a neon green bathing suit, one she’d paired with dark denim hot pants.

Kicking her legs up while barefoot, Raisman dropped a pouty facial expression as she clutched a volleyball, with the casual setup also seeing her flaunt a golden tan, plus a plump pout. Taking to her caption, Aly told fans: “Throwback… missing this warm sunshine 🤪ALSO I am terrible at volleyball.”

Swooping in and getting the most likes for her reply was GEICO face McKayla, who wrote: “I’m worse. It’s ok,” adding two cry-face emoji. “No regrets about volleyball, you have other skills #olympicchampion,” another fan said. The post also topped 30,000 likes in a day.

Aly continues to make headlines for sharing her battle to regaining mental health, this amid a depressive episode following the 2016 Olympics. The Pilates lover, who practices mindfulness and meditation, last year opened up to Shape, speaking of both the pandemic and self-care, overall.

“It’s a crazy time,” said. “I’m just trying to appreciate my health and be thankful that the people close to me are doing okay.” The gymnast added: “I thought it was going to be so much harder for me than it is, but I’ve come to appreciate the little things, and that’s really kept me going.” Touching on her glittering gymnastics career, the Amazon promo face continued:

“I try to be super aware of my energy levels because I feel like my body still hasn’t fully recovered from the last Olympics and my whole gymnastics career in general.”
