Below Deck Sailing Yacht: New crew, new boat, and of course, new drama

The newest show in the Below Deck franchise is Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but there’s one face that you might recognize from yachts past.

You can watch the first look at Below Deck Sailing Yacht on the Bravo site.  The only familiar face appears to be Chef Adam Glick.  The premise of this show is obviously similar to Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean but on a sailing yacht instead of a motor yacht like Sirocco or Valor.  The crew is stationed in Corfu, Greece sailing on the 180-foot-long sailing yacht, Parsifal III.  The boat was built in 2005 and can hold up to 12 guests and 9 crew.  It also won the 2006 International Superyacht Design Award.

The crew for this season consists of Captain Glenn Shephard, Paget Berry (first mate), Ciara Duggan (deckhand), chef Adam Glick (from Below Deck Mediterranean), Jenna MacGillivray (chief stew),  Byron Hissey (chief engineer),  Madison Stalker (second stew), Georgia Grobler (third stew), and Parker McCown (deckhand).  Glenn hails from Montreal and has been the captain of Parsifal III for ten years!

Apparently Paget and Ciara are dating, which should be awful.  Jenna seems to have an attitude problem, which is common with chief stews I guess.  She’s been working on yachts for 15 years now.  Parker seems to ask Paget if he thinks it is funny his mom still breastfeeds him.  I have no idea what to make of that comment.

The boat looks large and luxurious, but the concept of a full-service sailing yacht sounds complicated.  The galley is smaller, the rooms are smaller, and the attitudes are larger than life.  It should be an interesting season!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht premieres Monday, February 3 at 9 PM ET on Bravo.
